The larger barn was the first building constructed on Ribbon Ridge, approximately 1890. It now houses a family of owls and approximately 23 chickens.

The smaller barn was originally the "machine shed" built circa 1950. 

The family home was completed in 2020. It sits on the site of the original homestead of the Chapman family.
