The vineyard that started it all.
Merritt tasted a wine from this vineyard in 2009 when he worked with their co-owner/winemaker Wynne in New Zealand. That bottle changed his life.
Merritt returned to the US to work a harvest with her father Harry Peterson-Nedry, who eventually sold us our property in 2013.
Located directly across the street from us, nothing compares to the epic views, hospitality, and bold wines of Eminent Domaine. With full disclosure, Camille is the GM there - but we consider the Meaders to be family.
The tasting room is open from 10:30 am - 5 pm Thursday through Monday by reservation.
Killdeer Distilling is a family-owned distillery located less than a mile down the road. They specialize in whiskeys and gin and other small-batch, handcrafted spirits.
We kindly refer to Kate and Colin as our punk-rock farmers. They have tats, sheep and great spirits. Ask Merritt about his New Years absinthe story.
Mike and Cay Lichtenwalter are great neighbors and host tastings on a lovely veranda. It's an old-school, personal tasting experience.
PGC focuses on making site-specific, clone-specific, and beautiful nerdy pinots. The winemaking is top-notch and their "we do what we want" attitude is authentic and captivating.
Robert and his family own Norris wines. They make pinots but specialize in Rieslings. So if you're looking to try different wines, please visit their beautiful winery.
Amanda is one of the most gracious guides in the Willamette Valley. She curates each tour based on your interests, brings a tablecloth for picnic lunches, and does it with a smile. Plus, all winery dogs flock to her, which is a good sign.
Phil and Lisa run a cycling tour company that leads groups down and around Ribbon Ridge. The tours are tailored to each group's ability and interest, so you don't have to be an avid biker to enjoy yourself. You'll have a blast - and they are wonderful people!
We have stayed in this house many times and always recommend it to our family and friends. It has 3 bedrooms, a greenhouse, and a vineyard on site. It's located just 2 miles down the road.
